Steve Nicol, the coach of the New England Revolution, has been fined and suspended for actions he made vs Toronto FC per ESPN:
NEW YORK — New England Revolution coach Steve Nicol was suspended one game and fined $1,000 for conduct during the game against Toronto FC.
MLS made the announcement on Saturday, saying Nicol will miss the game that day against the Los Angeles Galaxy.
The fine and suspension are in addition to the automatic $500 fine and one-game suspension received for a coach’s dismissal from a match. Nicol was dismissed in the Revolution’s 1-1 tie against Toronto on Aug. 1.
He will serve the other game suspension on Aug. 20 against the Seattle Sounders FC.
So two games and $1500, but niether should affect the team very much as its just the coach. Maybe this can bring some publicity to the MLS…
