Players left off who could have made it: Beckerman, Rogers, Beasley, Pearce, Adu, Kljestan, Mastroeni, Cooper. Of these I think Beasley and Kljestan are the most surprising just because of the fact that Bradley seems to really like them. Adu is also a little suprising but a think its good to leave him off becuase he hasnt had any sort of action recently that would makes us think hes in playing shape, and really needs to work for all the playing time he can get in Europe.
Surprising additions: Marshall, Torres, Casey. Marshall must have made a good impression on Bradley during the Gold Cup or maybe it was just that Pearce has not looked good for a while now. The Torres selection maybe becuase Bradley thinks he will be motivated vs Mexico, but he seems to be very popular with US fans (it seems just because hes young and Mexican-American) without proving himself too much internationally. Casey is probably selected for his strenght, in hope that he can be physical late in the game as a sub and control the ball.
Also of note: I find it a little odd that the US site lists Donovan and Dempsey as Fowards, as they will most definilty start as midfielders, although Bradley likes to sub out a foward and move Dempsey up recently.
